  • MySQLJob Description :We are looking for a skilled Database administrator to join our Digital Customer Solutions team.

The ideal candidate should have experience in AWS Redshift database, Python scripting and DBT modelling & query writing technologies. As a DBA, you will be responsible to maintain AWS databases, security & availability of data for the respective users. You will work closely with stakeholders and end users to ensure high performance and availability of data for business insights. Responsibilities :

  • You will be involved in Database administration, performance tuning, management and security of AWS Redshift deployment and enterprise data warehouse.
  • You will provide technical support for all database environments including development/pre-production/production databases for the organization and will be responsible for setting up of infrastructure, configuring, maintenance of environment including security to support cloud environment working along with DE and Cloud Engineering
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions leading to automation.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers.
  • Optimize database security.
  • Data Migration, backup, and data recovery
  • Set and maintain database standards.
  • Document the security related highlights and process.
  • Document design of proposed solution including structuring data (data modelling applying different techniques including 3-NF and Dimensional modelling) and optimising data for further consumption (working closely with Data Visualization Engineers, Front-end Developers, Data Scientists and ML-Engineers).
  • Check lambda logs to make sure all the users have the right permissions in place to proceed with their activities.
  • Ensure that end users will have only read access to the respective data as per their roles.

Technical and Industry Experience :

  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience with DBA activities.
  • Experience in RLS policies & data Masking policies with data.
  • Experience in Python scripting.
  • 4 years in AWS Redshift production environment
  • Experience in analyzing the lambda logs & debugging the code issue.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems like AWS, AZURE.
  • Knowledge of day-to-day database operations, deployments, and development.
  • Extensive database experience with RDS, AWS Redshift, MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
  • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Performance tuning.
  • Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures and standards.
  • Quick learner, self-starter with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in team environment.
