Job Title: Design Engineer

Industry: Mechanical / Industrial Engineering

Education: B.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), Material Handling Systems (MHS), jigs, and assembly fixtures from concept to detailed engineering.
  • Create and manage 2D & 3D models and technical drawings using CAD tools, especially SolidWorks.
  • Plan and control design schedules to ensure timely completion of layouts and detailing.
  • Design machine components and assemblies to meet functional, safety, and manufacturability standards.
  • Drive standardization through effective use and maintenance of a library of standard parts and components.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide on-site support for machine assembly, troubleshooting, and commissioning when needed.
  • Utilize tools such as Process Simulate for evaluating and validating manufacturing and assembly processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in mechanical design principles, GD&T, and design for manufacturability.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication processes.
  • Experience with design validation, tolerance analysis, and BOM creation.
  • Working knowledge of Process Simulate or equivalent simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
