About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Developer to join our Fraud Technology team. Youll work on real-time fraud screening systems, collaborating closely with architecture, analytics, data governance, and reporting teams in an Agile environment.

This role offers exposure to modern software engineering practices, distributed systems, and enterprise-grade financial applications within a leading global investment bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain components of the Fraud Detection Platform using Core Java and Scala.
  • Build microservices-based architectures for real-time, scalable systems.
  • Integrate with distributed caching systems and relational databases (Sybase, Oracle, MSSQL).
  • Work with Kafka / MQ middleware for streaming and messaging.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate across teams, and follow DevOps practices.
  • Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle — from requirement gathering to deployment.

Key Skills (Must Have)

  • Core Java (Strong proficiency)
  • Functional Programming (Scala or willingness to learn Scala)
  • Microservices Architecture
  • Distributed Caching & RDBMS (Sybase / Oracle / MSSQL)
  • Middleware Technologies: Kafka, MQ
  • Linux Environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Good to Have Skills

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of Docker and Cloud-ready development
  • Experience with Confluent Kafka, Redis, and Python scripting
  • Exposure to Continuous Integration (CI/CD) tools
  • Familiarity with Data Modeling and Automation
