Role Overview
As the Senior Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function with a focus on strategic planning, finance controllership, investor relations, and financial operations. You will be a key member of the leadership team, driving financial discipline, compliance, and business scalability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Controllership
- Own the integrity of financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end/year-end closing and reporting
- Strengthen internal financial controls, risk management, and compliance
- Oversee implementation of robust accounting practices and ERP systems
- Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits
Strategic Finance & Business Planning
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth plans, and capital allocation
- Drive initiatives to improve profitability, unit economics, and ROI
Financial Operations
- Oversee daily finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
- Ensure tax compliance (GST, TDS, income tax) and regulatory adherence
- Review and approve all financial processes, reconciliations, and vendor payments
Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Support equity and debt fundraising efforts
- Build investor confidence through transparent and timely reporting
- Lead financial due diligence, board reporting, and investor communication
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounts team
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Key Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong background in finance controllership and compliance
- Proven experience in high-growth start-ups, construction, real estate, or tech industries
- Solid understanding of Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, tax laws, and audit practices
- Hands-on experience with ERPs, MIS, and business finance tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
