Role & responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the junior college curriculum.
  • Develop lesson plans that effectively utilize the full duration of the class.
  • Teach students English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
  • Instruct students on the structure and usage of the English language, including syntax, semantics, and phonetics.
  • Guide students in analyzing literature, poetry, and various forms of written and spoken media.
  • Encourage critical thinking and help students question and analyze media content, advertisements, and news reports.
  • Foster a positive, interactive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Assess students progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for academic assessments and competitive exams.
  • Participate in academic planning, department meetings, and faculty development programs.
  • Mentor and support students in academic and career goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in English literature, language instruction, and educational technology.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Masters Ders Degree (M.A.) in English Literature
  • B.Ed. or M.Ed. qualification is desirable
  • Preferably Male Candidates who can Join immediately

Experience:

  • 6 to 10 years of teaching experience at the intermediate / junior college level.
