About the Role

The Inventory Planner plays a critical role in ensuring that Be Home's global supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. This position impacts the organization by managing inventory purchasing, analyzing demand trends, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence.

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced professional who takes ownership of their work, is detail-oriented, and thrives under deadlines. The ideal candidate prioritizes responsibilities effectively, communicates proactively, and ensures follow-through. As Be Home continues to grow and expand into new marketplaces, this role will be key in driving data-informed decisions that directly influence profitability, customer satisfaction, and supply chain success.

Essential Functions

-Create and maintain purchase orders based on business needs, sales trends, and supply chain constraints.

-Analyze demand and inventory data to optimize order quantities and timing.

-Manage global vendor and agent communications, ensuring accurate coordination of purchase orders, shipments, and documentation.

-Maintain import and logistics documentation accurately in the system.

-Negotiate timelines, pricing, and terms with vendors and in-country teams to ensure smooth inbound inventory flow.

-Prepare and update weekly and ad-hoc reports on inventory, costs, destinations, and ETAs.

-Communicate any potential delays or issues to cross-functional teams and ensure follow-up until resolution.

-Collaborate with Inventory Management, Merchandising, Sales, and Warehouse teams to troubleshoot and streamline processes.

-Build, enhance, and maintain Excel-based tools and reports for better visibility and planning.

-Take initiative on process improvements and documentation projects as needed.

-Be available to monitor or respond to time-sensitive updates or communications outside standard hours, if necessary, to support business continuity.

Qualifications

-3 to 5 years of proven experience in inventory planning, merchandise planning, or supply chain management within retail or wholesale.

Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, IF statements etc., and data analysis).

-Excellent analytical and reporting skills with an eye for accuracy and trends.

-Prior experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.

-Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

-Self-motivated, reliable, and able to perform under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

-Understanding of retail supply chain, logistics, and import/export operations is a plus.

-College degree preferred.

Additional Details

-Location: Remote, however nearby Chandigarh/Delhi NCR, India

-Work Hours: 4:00 PM IST 12:30 AM IST (to align with the US & EU offices)

Work Arrangement:

-This is not a 100% remote role. Physical presence is required for certain in-person meetings.

-In-person meetings are typically held monthly, quarterly, or as needed by management.

-Most meetings take place in Chandigarh or New Delhi regions.

-Candidates must be based in or near Chandigarh or Delhi NCR.

-A reliable high-speed home internet connection is a prerequisite.

-Compensation: INR 6,00,000 to 8,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability.
