Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum of 14-16 years of progressively responsible experience in civil construction, with a strong focus on site execution and management of full scale commercial building projects (e.g., office complexes, retail centers, high-rise buildings)
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong problem-solving and decision making skills under pressure. Person willing to take ownership of the work and drive the team accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of civil construction operations on-site, for commercial building projects.
  • Manage site logistics, material ordering, storage, and inventory to ensure smooth workflow and prevent delays.
  • Ensure all construction activities adhere to design specifications, drawings, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific construction programs and schedules to meet project milestones.
  • Monitor, Control regular site work, identify and resolve any on-site issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise site personnel, subcontractors, and laborers, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency
  • Act as the primary on-site liaison with the Project Architect, MEP, Design Consultants, Structural Engineers, and other technical specialists.
  • Coordinate effectively with all external stakeholders to resolve technical queries, interpret drawings, and manage design changes or variations.
  • Hold and attend regular project progress meetings and prepare comprehensive site progress reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication of project status, risks, and changes to the Project Manager and relevant teams.
  • Implement and enforce the projects Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans, ensuring all work is checked and documented.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and regulations.
  • Demonstrable expertise in reading and interpreting complex architectural and engineering drawings
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating with project architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and other specialist contractors.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and quality control procedures relevant to commercial construction.

Work Environment

This is a site-based role stationed on active construction sites. Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as required by project timelines is essential.
