Job Title: Non-IT Recruiter Automobile & Manufacturing

Job Purpose

To manage end-to-end recruitment for automobile and manufacturing sector roles, including shop-floor, technical, and staff positions, ensuring timely manpower availability as per production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Sourcing

  • Handle hiring for automobile and manufacturing roles such as:

  • Operators, Helpers, Technicians, Welders, Fitters, Electricians, Machinists

  • Quality, Production, Maintenance, CNC, Tool Room

  • Supervisors, Line Leaders, Engineers, and Staff roles

  • Source candidates through job portals, referrals, vendors, ITIs, polytechnics, job fairs, and local manpower networks.

  • Conduct bulk and mass hiring drives for shop-floor manpower.
  • Coordinate campus hiring (ITI / Diploma / Engineering) when required.

Screening & Interview Coordination

  • Conduct initial screening and trade-level assessments.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with plant HR and line managers.
  • Organize walk-in interviews and plant-level recruitment drives.

Candidate Management & Joining

  • Follow up with shortlisted candidates for selection, medicals, and joining.
  • Manage offer roll-out, wage discussion, and documentation.
  • Ensure maximum joining ratio and reduce attrition before joining.

Client / Plant Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with plant HR, production, and operations teams.
  • Understand manpower requirements, shift patterns, and skill needs.
  • Share daily/weekly recruitment status and manpower MIS.

Compliance & Records

  • Maintain candidate records, joining reports, and manpower trackers.
  • Support documentation related to contract labour if applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, statutory, and plant entry requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong exposure to automobile & manufacturing recruitment.
  • Experience in shop-floor and technical hiring.
  • Knowledge of blue-collar recruitment channels and local labour markets.
  • Good negotiation and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to meet tight hiring timelines in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and recruitment portals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate / Diploma / MBA (HR) preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing plants, auto OEMs, Tier-1 / Tier-2 suppliers, or staffing firms.
  • Exposure to contract staffing and plant hiring norms is an advantage.
