Platform Scientist

Your Role

Collaborate internally and externally to design, deploy, and maintain digital platforms in our DS/CMS ecosystem. Maintain technological infrastructure and platforms that enable efficient and effective data-driven R&D processes. Working closely with different R&D stake holders to ensure that our eco system meets the technical requirements and goals of the organization

Platform Design and Architecture: designing and architecting the technological infrastructure and platforms that support DS/CMS initiatives while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performances

Platform Implementation: configuring systems, integrating third-party tools and services, and ensuring the smooth operation of the platforms

Platform Maintenance and Support: ongoing maintenance, monitoring problems and supporting users to optimize utilization

Scalability and Performance Optimization: focus on designing platforms that can scale to handle large volumes of data and complex analytics workloads

Data Management and Integration: designing and implementing data pipelines, data ingestion mechanisms, and data integration strategies to aggregate and process data from diverse sources

Optimized eco system: establish seamless connections between various components and entities involved in CS/CMS and cross functions activities

Security and Compliance: establish appropriate security measures to protect sensitive data, implement access controls, and adhere to data privacy regulations

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: work together to understand requirements, provide technical expertise, ensure that the platform meets the needs of its users and constant communication with designated stake holders

Who You Are

B.Sc (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems,  Data Science , Data Architecture or equivalent industry experience

Working on a major system through some part of its lifecycle, or a smaller system throughout its lifecycle

Expertise in data transformation, data integration techniques, data governance, data quality assurance, and data privacy regulations

Platform maintenance and support, experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues

Pharmaceutical Industry Knowledge, R&D processes and specific data science challenges

Collaboration and communication, working in multidisciplinary teams and effectively communicating with R&D stakeholders

Continuous learning and adaptability, demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, staying updated with new technologies and industry trends

Attention to details and quality orientation to ensure accuracy, reliability and delivering high-quality solutions adhering to standards and guidelines

Customer service oriented with ability to address customer pain points, understand the business needs and provide solutions

Effective Communication, strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts, provide documentation, and present findings

Strong Problem-Solving skills, ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop innovative and effective solutions

Stakeholder Management: ability to collaborate effectively with R&D stake holders, understand their requirements and communicate technical solutions

Technical / Functional Skills and Knowledge

Platform Architecture proficiency in designing and architecting scalable, reliable, and efficient data science platforms

Programming and Scripting, basic programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java considered a plus

Data Integration, designing and implementing data integration pipelines, data ingestion mechanisms, and data transformation processes

Data Security and Privacy, understanding of data security best practices, encryption, access controls, and compliance with data privacy regulations

Collaboration Tools: proficiency in collaboration tools and version control systems (e.g., Git) for effective teamwork, code sharing, and version management
