Job Title: SQL Database Administrator

Experience: 1–3 Years

Location: Mohali

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
  • Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and security.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity.
  • Implement database changes, patches, and upgrades.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize database designs and queries.
  • Generate reports and provide support for business intelligence tools.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server database architecture.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with database backup, restore, and recovery methods.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with indexing, partitioning, and replication.
  • Basic knowledge of security and user access management.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL databases is an added advantage.
