Position Overview

We are seeking passionate and qualified Math & English tutors to provide engaging online instruction to students from Kindergarten through 10th grade. You will work remotely from India, delivering high-quality math lessons to international students via our interactive online platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one online math tutoring sessions (45 minutes each) via video conferencing
• Create personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style, pace, and curriculum requirements
• Teach math concepts across K-10th grade levels, including:
• Elementary: Number sense, basic operations, geometry, measurement, fractions
• Middle School: Pre-algebra, algebra basics, ratios, statistics, problem-solving
• High School: Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus
• Teach English language skills across K-10th grade levels, including:
• Reading: Phonics, comprehension, literary analysis, critical reading
• Writing: Grammar, sentence structure, paragraphs, essays, creative writing
• Speaking & Listening: Pronunciation, conversational English, presentation skills
• Literature: Poetry, prose, drama, classic and contemporary texts
• Vocabulary & Spelling: Word building, context clues, spelling patterns
• Align lessons with US, UK, and Australian curriculum standards (Common Core, National Curriculum UK, Australian Curriculum)
• Track student progress, maintain detailed session notes, and provide regular progress reports to parents
• Help students prepare for standardized tests (SAT, NAPLAN, etc.) when applicable
• Assign and review homework, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for tests and exams
• Use interactive tools (digital whiteboards, screen sharing, educational apps) to make learning engaging
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and areas for improvement
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism for all scheduled sessions
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning abilities and styles

Working Hours

• Flexible scheduling based on student availability (typically US/UK/Australian time zones)
• Sessions scheduled between:
• US hours: 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM EST (weekdays), 10:00 AM - 6:00 AM EST (weekends)
• UK hours: 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM GMT (weekdays), 10:00 AM - 6:00 AM GMT (weekends)
• Australia hours: 3:30 PM - 8:30 AM ACT (weekdays), , 10:00 AM - 6:00 AM ACT (weekends)
• Minimum commitment: 8-20 sessions per week
• Part-time and full-time positions available

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or related field, English, English Literature, Education, Journalism, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience (online or in-person)
• Expert-level English language proficiency (native or near-native fluency)
• Strong command of K-10th grade math curriculum
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps)
• Quiet, distraction-free workspace with good lighting
• Computer/laptop with webcam and headset
• Proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet)
• Patience, enthusiasm, and ability to motivate young learners

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Mathematics,English, TESOL or Education
• Teaching certification (B.Ed, CTET, CELTA, TEFL, TESOL or equivalent)
• Experience teaching international curricula (CBSE, ICSE, IB, Common Core)
• Experience with online teaching platforms and digital learning tools
• Familiarity with US/UK/Australian literature and education standards
• Knowledge of digital learning platforms and educational technology

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: ₹15,000 per month, ₹100-₹600 per hour
• Performance Bonus: ₹600 per student (based on student retention and attendance)
• Earning Potential: ₹15,000 - ₹30,000+ per month depending on number of students
