The ideal candidate will be a specialist in Data Entitlement using Apache Ranger within Starburst. The consultant will be responsible for designing the end-to-end solution, ensuring high performance through mechanisms like materialised views, and implementing fine-grained access control to guarantee data security. This is a hands-on architectural role that will directly impact how our organization accesses and consumes data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a scalable data architecture using Starburst as the central query and virtualisation layer.
  • Take full ownership of data security by designing and implementing fine-grained access control policies in Starburst using Apache Ranger. This includes row-level filtering, column masking, and tag-based policies.
  • Create a unified semantic layer by virtualizing data from various Oracle schemas and other potential data sources, providing a single point of access for business users.
  • Develop and manage materialised views within Starburst to accelerate query performance and ensure a seamless, interactive experience for Tableau users.
  • Leverage your experience with Oracle to effectively connect, query, and model data within the Starburst ecosystem.

Work directly with business stakeholders, and Oracle DBAs to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure successful project delivery

Note* Role is remote but it is preferable if candidate is in Pune so can visit client office if needed.
