Desigantion:-Deputy General Manager / General Manager Sales (Industrial Wastewater Segment)

Responsibilities

The responsibilities detailed below are broad areas of work expected from the job holder. It is a collection of vital and essential tasks and responsibilities that the job holder is responsible to plan, prioritize and execute.

  1. Sales & Business Development:

  2. Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the industrial wastewater treatment market.

  3. Achieve annual targets for order booking, sales execution, AMC and spares revenue, and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) as per company benchmarks.

  4. Team Development:

  5. Build, develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.

  6. Customer Engagement & Satisfaction:

  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, contractors and influencers in the industry.

  8. Drive improvements in Customer Satisfaction Index by ensuring quality support, timely delivery, and consistent follow-ups.

  9. Handle escalations and resolve customer concerns proactively.

  10. Thought Leadership & Networking:

  11. Prepare and present technical papers, share case studies, and organize webinars to establish thought leadership in wastewater solutions.

  12. Actively network within the industry to generate leads and identify growth opportunities.

  13. Internal Collaboration & Reporting:

  14. Work closely with application, design, and execution teams to ensure seamless project handover and execution.

  15. Lead and manage cross-functional coordination to drive business success.

  16. Maintain high-quality data reporting and analytics through ERP, CRM, and Power BI tools.

  17. Data Management & Tools:

  18. Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to handle large datasets for business decision-making.

  19. Leverage tools like ERP, CRM, Power BI for accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking.

  20. Safety & Compliance:

  21. Ensure adherence to all safety norms and protocols in customer visits, project discussions, and internal operations.

  22. Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the team and across customer engagements.

Qualification /knowledge / experience

  1. Should ideally be environment or mechanical or electrical engineering graduate with a minimum of 10-15 years experience with manufacturing and project operations, with at least 3 -5 years in a senior sales leadership role, with team management expertise.

  2. Strong understanding of wastewater treatment technologies, sales cycles, and commercial acumen

  3. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong networking ability and leadership qualities.

  4. Digital Proficiency: Proficient in ERP systems, CRM tools .

  5. Good understanding of finance, commercial transactions, corporate governance, marketing, human resources, international and domestic commercial laws, environment laws.

  6. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
