Job Title: Azure Data Engineer with Artificial Intelligence Experience

Location: Onsite in Rayadurgam, Hyderabad

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong Artificial Intelligence (AI) expertise to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and AI-driven solutions in the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of Azure Data Services, Machine Learning frameworks, and data architecture best practices to enable intelligent insights and automation across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
  • Develop and manage data lakes, data warehouses, and semantic models leveraging Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Synapse.
  • Implement end-to-end data workflows to support AI and ML model training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to operationalize ML models using Azure Machine Learning (AML) and MLOps pipelines.
  • Integrate AI services such as Azure Cognitive Services, OpenAI Service, and Azure Bot Service into data workflows.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
  • Develop and maintain data quality, lineage, and governance frameworks using Azure Purview or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Implement data security, role-based access control (RBAC), and compliance in accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Create Power BI datasets and reports for business consumption and decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data and AI architectures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Services:
  • Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).

Proficiency in AI & Machine Learning tools:

  • Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, OpenAI Service (GPT, embeddings, etc.), and MLflow.

Programming Languages:

  • Python, PySpark, SQL, and familiarity with R or Scala is a plus.
  • Experience with Modern Data Platforms:
  • Delta Lake, Parquet, and Lakehouse architecture (Databricks or Microsoft Fabric).

DevOps and CI/CD expertise:

  • Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for MLOps and DataOps workflows.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience implementing AI-based analytics solutions, such as forecasting, NLP, or computer vision use cases.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or Fabric Data Activator for visualization and AI-powered insights.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, cost optimization, and monitoring best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified
    : Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) or Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102).
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, or Generative AI solutions.
  • Understanding of LLM integration, prompt engineering, and vector databases (like Azure Cosmos DB or Pinecone).
  • Background in data science, mathematics, or computer science.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to thrive in agile, fast-paced environments with evolving technologies.
