Sports Officer

Education & Desirable Experience: 

The candidate should have a Master degree in Physical Education or Sports Science with at least 5-7 years' experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee all intra school sports events and tournaments.
  • Implement the annual sports calendar in coordination with the Director Campus & Director Sports, SVKM.
  • Identify, train, and prepare student teams for inter-campus, inter-university, and AIU competitions.
  • Facilitate selection trials and maintain player data and performance records.
  • Coordinate with Sports Department for entries, logistics, and reporting related to University, AIU, and external tournaments.
  • Supervise maintenance and upkeep of sports facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Propose requirements for new equipment, uniforms, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Maintain proper records of sports equipment inventory and utilization.
  • Coordinate with external or internal coaches appointed by the Sports Department for various disciplines.
  • Schedule regular practice sessions for campus teams and ensure proper attendance and training standards.
  • Encourage students to participate in sports and fitness programs for overall wellbeing.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to sports budgets, participation reports, and tournament results.
  • Liaise with the Director Campus and Director Sports for approvals, logistics, and reimbursements.
  • Submit periodic reports to the Director Campus and Director Sports, on sports activities and achievements.
  • Promote a culture of fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
  • Support organization of workshops, fitness camps, and motivational sessions by eminent sportspersons.
  • Guide and mentor student athletes in balancing academics and sports commitments.
  • Ensure all sports activities follow NMIMS and AIU norms and university guidelines.
  • Represent the campus at NMIMS inter-campus sports meetings and technical committee discussions.
