What You'll Do
Main responsibilities –

To ensure that the learning agenda of the Digital Community of Volvo Cars supports the need of talent attraction and retention for our organization – utilizing and having expertise in various learning development tools, learning techniques and approaches to learning and development in a global, distributed organization.

  • Collaborating closely with departments across the Digital Community to understand and document learning needs.
  • Understanding business drivers and translating them into learning requirements and a common learning agenda
  • Collaborating with the Global Learning team in People Experience (HR)
  • Communicating effectively about our learning offerings and our learning agenda

Digital Learning Agenda: Define and drive a global learning strategy tailored to the evolving needs of the Digital Community. For example, identifying the skillsets software engineers need to grow and succeed over time.

Role-Based Learning Journeys: Develop structured learning paths for specific roles.

Training Design: Contribute to the creation of training programs and educational materials using modern tools and methodologies.

  • Create engaging and effective learning content using tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Develop templates and guidelines to standardize content creation across teams.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology standards and trends in digital learning.
  • Manage licenses in current learning platforms (e.g., purchase orders, user assignments, analytics).
  • Collaborate with the Global Learning team in People Experience.
  • Maintain relationships with key external learning providers.
  • Act as a point of contact for learning-related discussions.
  • Understand business drivers and translate them into learning requirements.
  • Prepare, facilitate, and actively contribute to initiatives that move the department forward.

What You'll Bring
You come from a background in either digital & IT or HR and have played various roles in the past – such as learning & development specialist, business analyst or project manager.

You have worked for several years with design and implementation of learning strategies, creating a compelling learning agenda covering various technologies and soft skills as per organizational needs – using various learning tools and platforms.

  • A creative mindset and innovative thinking.
  • Experience in tactical roles with high standards, delivering outputs for senior management.
  • A hands-on approach, balancing strategic setup with fast execution.
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable learning solutions, including RFQs.
  • Strong business communication skills and the ability to negotiate priorities.
  • Experience working on international projects, both on-site and remotely.
  • Proven ability to support initiatives across diverse business areas.
  • Experience managing projects in global business environments.
  • Solid digital experience, ideally in agile settings.
  • A self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
