The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of EPC projects from sales handover to final client delivery and handover. This role demands strong leadership, stakeholder management, adherence to SOPs, and coordination across internal teams (Design, Procurement, QA/QC, Site, and Accounts) to ensure project milestones are achieved within defined timelines, quality standards, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Handover & Planning

Receive formal project handover from Sales, including all documentation.

Review customer requirements, scope of work, and commitments.

Confirm project timelines, design milestones, and delivery schedules.

Prepare and circulate the internal project handover document to all relevant departments.

Ensure Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) are in place or developed in coordination with Sales/Client.

2. Client Communication & Kick-Off

Draft and send introductory emails to clients covering key stakeholders, communication protocols, and reporting formats.

Organize and lead internal project kick-off meetings.

Ensure design documents (GA/Layout) are received, reviewed, and approved as per schedule.

Share design progress updates and coordinate with Design team for adherence.

3. Execution & Monitoring

Develop and maintain overall project timeline trackers (Design, Procurement, Site Execution).

Monitor daily/weekly project progress and update trackers accordingly.

Escalate delays, risks, and bottlenecks to management and ensure corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with client expectations, quality standards, and statutory requirements.

4. Client & Internal Coordination

Act as the single point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.

Facilitate periodic project status updates to clients (weekly/fortnightly).

Ensure timely approvals (designs, materials, quality documents) from the client.

Coordinate across Procurement, QA/QC, Dispatch, and Site Execution teams.

5. Quality & Documentation

Ensure all project-related documentation (Design approvals, Inspection Reports, MOMs, Handover Checklists) is updated and archived.

Review client inspection reports (accept/reject) and ensure compliance.

Conduct site visits as required to monitor progress and resolve issues.

6. Project Closure & Handover

Ensure project deliverables are completed as per agreed scope and timelines.

Coordinate with Procurement, Dispatch, and Site teams for final execution.

Handover project completion documentation and closure reports to Client and Accounts.

Conduct internal debrief meetings to capture learnings and improvements.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Adherence to project timelines (design, procurement, execution).

Client satisfaction and feedback scores.

Quality compliance (QAP, Inspection Reports).

Effective use of trackers and documentation systems.

Budget adherence and minimal cost overruns.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical preferred).

58 years of experience in EPC/Infrastructure/Construction project management.

Strong knowledge of project management tools and techniques (MS Project/Primavera preferred).

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and internal coordination.

Familiarity with ISO, QA/QC, and HSE compliance.
