1. Financial Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Record financial transactions in accounting systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

2. Preparing Financial Statements

  • Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate periodic financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and insights.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets.
  • Provide financial forecasts for future planning.

4. Tax Preparation and Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
  • Calculate taxes owed and prepare tax payments.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

5. Auditing and Internal Controls

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
  • Assist external auditors during audits.

6. Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Manage vendor invoices and payments.
  • Track customer invoices and ensure timely collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.

7. Payroll Processing

  • Calculate employee salaries and deductions.
  • Ensure timely payment of salaries and benefits.
  • Maintain payroll records for compliance and reporting.

8. Financial Analysis and Decision Support

  • Provide insights on cost reduction and profitability improvement.
  • Advise management on investment opportunities and financial risks.
  • Support strategic planning through financial analysis.

9. Compliance with Financial Regulations

  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and accounting standards.
  • Implement measures to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
