Project Manager- Non Technical

The Project Manager – Railway Project will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day progress of railway construction and maintenance activities. The role demands strong leadership, coordination, and organizational skills to manage manpower, documentation, supervision, and clerical activities effectively. The Project Manager will ensure that project milestones are met while adhering to safety, quality, and budget requirements. This role requires direct reporting to the Chairman and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Progress Monitoring:
- Track and ensure timely progress of railway works.
- Identify delays and implement corrective measures.
- Prepare progress reports and present updates to the Chairman.
- Manpower Management:
- Coordinate with teams and subcontractors.
- Allocate resources efficiently and monitor workforce productivity.
- Resolve manpower-related issues and ensure compliance with labor laws and safety standards.
- Documentation & Clerical Activities:
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, material usage, and labor attendance.
- Ensure proper filing and retrieval of project documents.
- Assist in drafting contracts, agreements, and compliance reports.
- Site Supervision:
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
- Act as the point of contact for all on-site queries and escalations.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and milestone reports for senior management.
- Facilitate communication between various stakeholders.
- Address concerns and ensure smooth coordination among teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in railway or infrastructure project management.
- Proven experience in manpower management, documentation, and site supervision.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and reporting software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
