Key Responsibilities-

  • Oversee quality control for final assembly of trucks and buses ensuring adherence to OEM standards.
  • Lead Shop Quality, Incoming Quality, and Field Quality teams for end-to-end quality management.
  • Implement and maintain Integrated Management System (IMS) across all plant processes.
  • Monitor COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) and implement reduction initiatives.
  • Develop and execute vendor rating systems and supplier quality improvement plans.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for internal and field failures.
  • Coordinate with Production, R&D, and Service to provide feedback for design and process improvements.
  • Prepare and review quality MIS reports, Q-Gates, and dashboard for management.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, TS, and other quality standards during audits.
  • Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and zero-defect manufacturing.

Technical Skills - Requirement

  • In-depth knowledge of Truck/Bus final assembly quality standards.
  • Expertise in Shop Quality, Incoming Quality, and Field Quality management.
  • Strong understanding of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and ISO/TS standards.
  • Experience in vendor audits, rating systems, and supplier quality management.
  • Proficiency in COPQ analysis and reduction techniques.
  • Skilled in problem-solving tools RCA, 8D, FMEA, SPC.
  • Ability to lead large quality teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
