Role & responsibilities - Commercial Account Receivable Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Account Receivable Manager to oversee the commercial operations of our solar energy business.

This role involves managing all vendor-related interactions including contract negotiations and vetting of commercial terms. Additionally, the Commercial Manager will support accounts receivable functions such as billing and budget control.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management

  • Lead vendor selection, evaluation, and relationship management.
  • Negotiate and finalize commercial terms and contracts with vendors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Represent the company in all vendor-related interactions as part of the FCG initiative.
  • Review all commercial agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential commercial and contractual risks.

Financial Oversight & Budget Control

  • Monitor project capex & opex budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure proper allocation of project costs.

Billing and Accounts Receivable Support

  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage billing cycles, invoice generation, and collections.
  • Track accounts receivable and support timely follow-ups to reduce outstanding dues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with project management, legal, procurement, and finance departments to ensure smooth execution of commercial activities.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives including budgeting, forecasting, and vendor onboarding.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure all commercial activities are documented and in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Maintain records of vendor contracts, approvals, and commercial correspondence.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial & Finance management, preferably within the solar, renewable energy, construction, or real estate industries.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and managing large-scale contracts.
  • Experience in budgeting and cost control.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the solar industry, including technologies, market trends, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in contract law and negotiation techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software tools.
