IT Automation Specialist – Rewst/Low-Code

Working Hours & Availability:  Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm Eastern Time Zone 

We are seeking an IT Automation Specialist – Rewst/Low-Code with 1–3 years of IT support or service desk experience to learn and fully understand the service desk coordination and dispatch processes, and to lead efforts in modernizing operations through automation. This role serves as a key contributor to KJ Technology's automation initiatives—partnering with service desk engineers, tracking workflows, and ensuring automation solutions align with operational needs and client expectations. 

The successful candidate will spearhead the development and deployment of low-code/no-code automations, with a goal of reducing manual service coordination by 65% within 18 months. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on learning, transforming service delivery, improving workflows, and driving operational efficiency through automation and process innovation. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Learn the service desk coordination processes, including ticket triage, SLA monitoring, engineer scheduling, and escalation workflows. 
• Collaborate with the owner of KJ's IT Service Catalog to identify automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and improve service quality. 
• Build, test, and deploy automated workflows using low-code/no-code platforms (e.g. Rewst) 
• Work with engineers to identify repetitive tasks and design scalable automation solutions. 
• Document automation processes and procedures for knowledge sharing and future scalability. 
• Monitor automated workflows to ensure proper functioning and performance. 
• Gain hands-on knowledge of the service desk dispatch process to inform automation solutions. 
• Partner with service desk engineers to understand operational workflows and identify pain points suitable for automation. 
• Provide light technical support for automation-related issues, escalating as needed to senior engineers. 
• Analyze service data to prioritize automation opportunities and track automation impact. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or service desk operations.  
• 1-4 years of hands on experience building automations using low-code/no-code platforms (i.e. Rewst, Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate) 
• Hands on experience using Rewst is required. 
• Experience managing multiple tasks/projects and meeting deadlines in a remote environment.  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.  
• Willingness and ability to learn the service desk coordination process thoroughly.

• IT Information Library (ITIL)

Platforms: 

• Low-code/no-code (e.g., Rewst, Zapier) 
• Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure/Entra ID/Active Directory 

Technologies: 

• Endpoint Security products (e.g. – SentinelOne, Blackpoint Cyber) 
• Remote Monitoring and Management platforms (e.g. – ConnectWise Automate, Addigy, Auvik, IT Glue) 
• Infrastructure & development security principles
