About This Opportunity:

Job Title: Software Engineer I

Location: Bengaluru (On-site)

Role: QA Engineer (Manual + Automation Mobile & API)

Responsibilities:

a. Manual Testing:

• Analyze product requirements and create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual testing of mobile applications (Android/iOS), APIs, and web components.
• Execute regression, smoke, sanity, functional, and UI/UX testing.
• Log, track, and report bugs using tools like JIRA, and work closely with developers to ensure resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to validate hot-fixes, patches, and production releases.

b. Automation Testing:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mobile automation scripts using Appium with Java.
• Create and automate RESTful API test cases using RestAssured.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Create reusable test components and follow best practices for code structure and test coverage.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test failures to ensure high-quality releases.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong manual testing skills for both mobile apps and APIs.
• Solid experience in Mobile Automation using Appium with Java.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and automation using RestAssured.
• Proficiency with Java, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven/Gradle.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, Zephyr and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Good to have technical skills:

• Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Familiarity with tool like Charles Proxy.
• JMeter

Soft Skills required:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in web, mobile, and API testing environments.
• Experience working in Agile environments is highly preferred.
