Job Overview:

As a site engineer, you will monitor diversified aspects of construction project management. This will include planning, coordination and supervision of on-site activities. You will also foster effective communication by liaising with contractors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with various engineering methodologies and has hands-on experience in construction project management. You will work with civil engineers, structural engineers, architects and surveyors to ensure that building sites are fit for purpose. You will ensure all aspects of the project align with engineering and design specifications, industry standards and construction regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management:

• Oversee various aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed according to specifications, on time, and within budget.

• Compile estimates for technical and material requirements for project development.

• Inspect facilities and analyze operational data.

• Technical Support:

• Provide technical advice and support to construction teams, helping to solve engineering-related problems on-site.

• Determine and present estimates of operating costs.
• Evaluate operations and processes.
• Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency.
• Monitor project progress, compliance and safety standards.
• Direct engineering activities, assign tasks, provide training and support.

• Create work schedules and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.

• Quality Assurance:

• Educational Background:

• A bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, construction management, building or a related field is typically required.

• Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is often preferred, along with hands-on experience in construction project management, building and design. 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position.
