FPV Drone Pilot (R&D Department)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled FPV Drone Pilot with hands-on experience in flying and testing FPV drones across multiple flight modes and configurations. The ideal candidate should have expertise in tuning, calibrating, and modifying drone firmware such as Beta-flight, iNav, ArduPilot, and PX4 to enhance flight performance and stability. The role involves R&D test flights, performance analysis, and close coordination with the engineering team for system improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and test FPV drones in different flight modes (Angle, Horizon, Acro, Manual, GPS-assisted).
  • Conduct R&D experiments to evaluate new hardware, firmware, and sensor integrations.
  • Tune flight controllers and firmware parameters for optimal performance using Betaflight, iNav, ArduPilot, PX4.
  • Perform pre- and post-flight inspections, analyze telemetry data, and maintain flight logs.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, radio, and firmware issues; ensure compliance with R&D and DGCA safety protocols
  • Manage FPV equipment, batteries, transmitters, and repair tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related field (preferred but not mandatory for skilled pilots).
  • Minimum 2 years of FPV flying and testing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of flight controllers, ESCs, receivers, FPV systems, PID tuning, and radio setup (OpenTX/EdgeTX).
  • Basic soldering, wiring, troubleshooting, and Blackbox flight log analysis skills.
  • DGCA or equivalent pilot certification preferred.
