Role Description:As a VBA Developer, you will be a key contributor to our data management and application development initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining MS Access applications, ensuring seamless data migration, and optimizing database performance. Your expertise in VBA, ADO, and SQL Server will be crucial for delivering efficient and reliable data solutions. Responsibilities :

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain MS Access applications, including forms and reports, utilizing advanced VBA programming techniques.
  • Design and implement user interfaces and data entry forms.
  • Develop and maintain VBA modules for data manipulation and automation.
  • Perform data migration from Access backend to SQL Server, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement data migration scripts and processes.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency during migration.
  • Optimize database performance by writing efficient SQL queries.
  • Utilize SQL Server views and implement stored procedures where necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
  • Inherit and modernize legacy applications, improving functionality and performance.
  • Contribute to the development of new applications from scratch.
  • Refactor and optimize existing code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software products.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Create comprehensive documentation to document the functionality of legacy tools and new applications.
  • Develop user guides and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to MS Access, SQL Server, and database development.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance our systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies.

Qualifications :Experience :

  • Extensive experience in VBA development and MS Access application development.
  • Proven experience in data migration from Access to SQL Server.
  • Experience in optimizing database performance and writing efficient SQL queries.
  • Experience in modernizing legacy applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in VBA programming.
  • Strong understanding of ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) for data access.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Experience with database design and optimization.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
