The Senior Audit Manager (CA) leads multiple audit engagements, manages client relationships, and ensures the highest quality of audit delivery in compliance with professional standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in accounting and auditing standards, and the ability to manage complex audits across various industries.

Key Responsibilities1. Audit Planning & Execution

  • Lead, plan, and manage statutory and internal audit engagements from start to completion.
  • Develop detailed audit plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Review and assess audit risks and internal controls for clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve complex accounting and audit issues.

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff and assistant managers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and training to build audit team capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, professionalism, and continuous learning.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the key point of contact for assigned clients throughout the audit process.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality service and value-added insights.
  • Identify business opportunities and assist partners in proposal preparation and business development.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards (e.g., ICAI, IFAC, PCAOB, or equivalent).
  • Review working papers and audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee internal quality control procedures to maintain audit excellence.

5. Reporting & Advisory

  • Prepare and review audit reports, management letters, and financial statements.
  • Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and boards.
  • Provide advisory support on financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management.

Qualifications & Experience Essential:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (from ICAI or recognized professional body).
  • 8–12 years of post-qualification experience in external or internal audit, preferably in a Big Four or reputable mid-tier firm.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple audit engagements and teams.
