Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This is a full-time position, requiring 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in lab operations, sample management, and supporting our commitment to excellence in healthcare.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory equipment operation (Mandatory skill), ensuring all devices are handled safely and efficiently as per protocols.
- Hands-on experience in sample preparation (Mandatory skill), including proper labeling, storage, and timely processing for analysis.
- Proven ability in lab report writing (Mandatory skill), generating accurate, clear and comprehensive documentation of results in a timely manner.
- Strong data entry skills, accurately inputting, maintaining, and organizing patient information and specimen records within laboratory systems.
- Thorough understanding of quality control procedures, performing daily checks and maintaining compliance with established testing standards for reliability.
- Competency in aseptic technique, adhering to strict hygiene and sterilization protocols to minimize contamination in all laboratory activities.
- Experience with GMP compliance, ensuring laboratory operations consistently meet all regulatory requirements for health and safety.
- Knowledge of PCR methods, assisting in the preparation, execution, and interpretation of molecular diagnostic testing as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses using approved methods, ensuring timely and accurate results for patient care.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, documenting all activities as per operational guidelines and maintenance schedules.
- Prepare biological samples, including collection, labeling, and storage, in alignment with safety and procedural standards.
- Input all relevant sample and patient data into laboratory information systems accurately and efficiently for records and reporting.
- Write, update, and review laboratory reports ensuring data is clear, well-organized and meets reporting standards.
- Follow all quality control protocols and maintain records to ensure laboratory results are consistent and reliable.
- Work within Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures to guarantee regulatory compliance and laboratory safety.
- Support laboratory operations by collaborating with the healthcare team, participating in audits, and assisting with inventory management and supply replenishment.
