F&B Manager – Roles and Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

  • Oversee daily food and beverage operations in restaurants, bars, room service, banquets, and other outlets.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all F&B areas.

2. Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise F&B staff (servers, bartenders, supervisors, etc.).
  • Create staff schedules and ensure proper shift coverage.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.
  • Encourage teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues quickly.
  • Communicate with guests to gather feedback and improve service.

4. Menu Planning & Coordination

  • Work with chefs to develop menus, specials, and promotional items.
  • Ensure menus are profitable, appealing, and cost-effective.
  • Review and update menu items based on trends and guest feedback.

5. Financial Management

  • Prepare budgets for F&B departments.
  • Monitor revenue, food cost, and labor cost.
  • Control wastage and manage inventory effectively.
  • Analyze sales reports and suggest improvements to boost profit.

6. Purchasing & Inventory

  • Manage ordering of food, beverages, and equipment.
  • Ensure sufficient stock while avoiding over-ordering.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.

7. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Train staff on safety procedures and HACCP standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of F&B areas.

8. Marketing & Promotion

  • Coordinate with the sales/marketing team for promotions and events.
  • Develop strategies to increase restaurant traffic and sales.
  • Organize special events, theme nights, and banquets.

9. Coordination with Other Departments

  • Work with housekeeping, front office, and banquet teams for events or guest needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen for smooth service.

10. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly F&B reports.
  • Maintain records of sales, expenses, and operational data.
  • Attend management meetings and provide updates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
