Role and Responsibilities:

The Residential Mess Managers will work closely with the Director of Student Affairs to ensure smooth operations of the mess facilities. Key responsibilities include:

(a) Food Quality & Menu

Ensure the quality and quantity of food served in dining halls meets the prescribed standards.

Monitor adherence to the approved menu and recommend improvements based on student feedback.

Oversee inventory management and ensure the proper condition of raw materials.

(b) Hygiene & Sanitation

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in dining and food preparation areas.

Ensure utensils are cleaned thoroughly, following the three-sink/tub method where dishwashers are unavailable.

(c) Discipline & Behaviour

Enforce adherence to prescribed meal timings and minimize waiting times by activating additional serving points as necessary.

Promote respectful and orderly behaviour among staff and students.

Prevent unauthorized persons from using mess facilities.
