Accountant - Trading & Securities (Onsite, Kolkata)

Salary:
₹35,000 – ₹40,000 in-hand, per month.

Experience:
3–5 years
(CA/CMA Final dropout preferred).

Role Overview:

We are hiring an independent, detail-oriented Accountant to manage the complete accounting and record-keeping function of a Kolkata-based trading house. The role is focused on
equities, F&O, and securities-related accounting
, requiring strong fundamentals in accounts and working knowledge of trading activities.

The position does
not
require deep GST/TDS expertise but does require comfort with trade documentation, reconciliations, and investment accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain daily accounting entries for equity, F&O, commodities, mutual funds, and investment transactions.
  2. Track daily P&L, open positions, margins, settlements, and exposure reports.
  3. Prepare and monitor reconciliations for brokers, demat accounts, and banking transactions.
  4. Maintain ledgers, statements, and documentation required for audits and assessment processes.
  5. Support management with periodic MIS reports, trade summaries, and investment analysis.
  6. Handle compliance-related paperwork around trading operations (basic tax filing documentation only).
  7. Ensure accurate, organized, and independent management of all financial records.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in trading, securities, or investment environments.
  2. Strong understanding of equities, futures & options, and basic financial instruments.
  3. Solid knowledge of accounting principles; able to manage end-to-end books independently.
  4. Hands-on proficiency with Tally and Excel/Google Sheets.
  5. Strong documentation, reconciliation, and reporting abilities.
  6. Preferred:
    CA Final / CMA Final dropout
    or similar academic background.
  7. Self-driven, disciplined, and comfortable handling the full accounting function alone.
