Data Visualization Engineer

This role is ideal for a technically skilled engineer passionate about transforming complex data into actionable insights through intuitive visual storytelling. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations that help business users make informed decisions. The position emphasizes data-driven storytelling, performance optimization, and end-to-end development on modern data platforms. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly dashboards and data visualizations using complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Build interactive visualizations and front-end applications that enable data-driven decision-making for end users.
• Ensure dashboard design consistency and usability across the platform.
• Create and maintain systems documentation and analytics code.
• Debug applications, trace code, and resolve bugs efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data, improve quality, and meet reporting requirements.
• Plan and execute system expansions to support growing analytic and product needs.

• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Visualization Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in SQL and experience working with analytical data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
• Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools such as Thoughtspot, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI (Thoughtspot preferred).
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts including dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, normalization, and SCDs.
• Familiarity with JavaScript is a plus.
• Ability to identify and resolve data modeling issues, implement schema best practices, and optimize visualization performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Desire to stay current with trends and best practices in data visualization.
