Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Engineer to ensure the implementation of effective safety practices at our construction site. The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting a safe working environment, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and inspect construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and follow up with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver safety induction and regular toolbox talks to site workers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, incident reports, and safety training.
  • Review and approve Job Safety Analysis (JSA), method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local and national safety regulations and company HSE policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to site safety culture and performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma in Industrial Safety - Mandatory.
  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site safety.
  • Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations, standards, and practices.
