Safety Engineer (Consultant Side)

Location: Bangalore

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Safety Engineer to represent the consultant team and ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across the project site. The role involves monitoring contractor safety performance, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all site activities meet statutory and project-specific safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the approved HSE Plan, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits and issue observations / NCRs where required.
  • Review and approve safety documentation submitted by contractors, including permits and reports.
  • Attend and record findings of daily/weekly safety meetings with the client and contractor teams.
  • Review and monitor incident / accident reports and verify implementation of corrective actions.
  • Promote safety awareness and safe work practices through toolbox meetings and coordination with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory norms, IS/BIS standards, and project safety policies.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly safety compliance reports to the client.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Safety Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in monitoring and managing safety for large-scale building or infrastructure projects
  • Preferred Certifications: NEBOSH / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety add more benefit
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction safety codes, compliance standards, and documentation practices
