Position Overview

We are looking for a Planning Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in construction project planning, monitoring, and control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, tracking, and updating project schedules for building projects, primarily using MS Project (knowledge of Primavera P6 will be an added advantage).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain baseline project schedules using MS Project or Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Procurement teams to align the project schedule with on-site progress.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including S-curves, manpower histograms, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Track project milestones, monitor critical activities, and identify delays with suitable mitigation measures.
  • Assist in budgeting and resource planning to ensure cost and time efficiency.
  • Support project teams in preparing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and detailed activity sequencing
  • Participate in client and consultant meetings, presenting schedule status, forecasts, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain proper documentation and version control for all planning deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • 3–5 years of experience in planning and scheduling of building construction projects.
  • Proficient in MS Project; working knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, resource allocation, and project reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team environment.
