Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Hardware & Networking Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading our company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, networking systems, and security protocols. This role requires expertise in IT hardware, networking, system administration, and technical support to ensure smooth and secure IT operations across the organization.

Job Title: IT Hardware & Networking Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware & System Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and maintenance.
  • Manage IT asset inventory, ensuring proper tracking and disposal.

Networking & Security:

  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement and manage network security protocols, including VPNs, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
  • Ensure data security through backups, encryption, and cybersecurity best practices.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide Level 1 & 2 support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control for various systems.
  • Document technical processes, troubleshooting guides, and support logs.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware procurement, upgrades, and maintenance contracts.
  • Assist in IT policy development and implementation.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and security.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT hardware, networking, and system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Expertise in networking protocols
  • Experience with firewalls, routers, and switches
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
