Job Purpose

• Lead the design, implementation and support of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) solution for the global Pulp & Fibre business.
• Provide techno-functional expertise in the Finance area covering SAP FICO, SAP Funds Management (FM) and SAP Investment Management and Project Systems (IMPS).
• Partner with the Accounts, Costing, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Sales to deliver quantifiable business benefits through process improvements, automation, continuous improvements.
• Lead the SAP FICO deployment at domestic and overseas units, integration with Oracle Hyperion for business MIS and financial consolidation.
• Be the subject matter expert on SAP Finance processes and evangelize best practices.
• Provide support, query handling and required data for management audit and statutory audit processes.

*Job Context & Major Challenges*
SAP ECC was initially implemented in the domestic units during 2007. Rollout to the overseas Pulp & Fibre units and the largest domestic plant was carried out between 2009 – 2021. During this period many customisations were incorporated in the system to take care of the business requirements. The database was also upgraded to HANA DB.

• Understand functional needs at Business/Unit levels and address them.
• Conceptualise, map and reuse the FICO/FM/IMPS standard processes.
• Standardisation of the FICO processes and reports
• Guide the central helpdesk team to resolve operational issues.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, diversity of business requirements and communicate project progress effectively.
• Multi-country, multi-currency environment
• Integration with Oracle Hyperion for MIS and financial consolidation
• Lead S/4 HANA enabled Finance & Controlling process transformation.

• Knowledge Centre:
• Develop business expertise in SAP FICO Module
• Impact analysis and assist business with FICO upgrades
• Upgrade the SAP FICO application architecture framework
• Ensure standardization of SAP FICO related master's and commonly used reports
• Build SAP Finance competencies (SAP FICO, FM & IMPS) in the business for maximizing solution usage by
• Interacting with Users, Industry Peers, Technology partners
• Conducting workshops for Users at unit locations
• Extend scope of SAP FICO functionality with contemporary tools for developing Business level MIS (Hyperion)
• Assist the SAP Helpdesk to resolve issues in SAP FICO
• Support the period closing activities across all the units
• Interface with other SAP Team members to simplify the processes and assist in deployment of the upgraded solution.
• Setup and provide training to end users to maximize usage.

KRA 2 Lead the SAP S/4 HANA implementation across the global Pulp and Fibre business

• Study and understand Business; update the AS-IS process documentation.
• Lead the SAP S/4 HANA Finance module implementation across the global sites as per standard guidelines and methodology.
• Rationalize customization requirements by extending the product functionality of SAP FICO, FM and IMPS modules.

KRA 3 Lead all aspects of digital finance transformation through influencing and implementing right fit technologies

• Identify value generation opportunities through system/ process engineering to support current and future technology investments.
• Attend technology events and share learning with the functional user community

KRA 4 Information Security and Business Continuity Planning

• Plan & execute annual DR / BCP drill for the SAP Finance area
• Define & implement the maker-checker control procedures on SAP GRC for all finance related transactions.

• Strong SAP FICO techno – functional expertise is a must
• Strong Finance IT implementation and project management expertise is a must
• S4 HANA implementation and SAP cloud ecosystem experience is a must
• Good people management skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results
• Forms partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

Related Education & Experience

• Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must
• SAP certification in SAP FICO is is a must
• Proven experience in leading, mentoring and coordinating work of a team in all aspects of analysis and support to successful outcomes.
• Work experience of 10-15 years in business process analysis, major computer systems implementations, change management
