About the Role

We are seeking a talented Upstream Process Development Scientist with expertise in microbial fermentation and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in strain development, fermentation scale-up, and process parameter optimization for microbial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize upstream processes for microbial fermentation (bacteria, yeast, or other industrial strains)
  • Perform media optimization, inoculum preparation, and fermentation parameter studies /
  • Scale-up processes from lab to pilot and production scale
  • Troubleshoot fermentation issues and improve process robustness
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with GLP/GMP standards
  • Collaborate with downstream and analytical teams for integrated process development

What Were Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of microbial physiology, fermentation technology, and bioprocess engineering
  • Hands-on experience with bioreactors (lab and pilot scale)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
