About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior BI Analyst with deep expertise in Tableau, SQL, Redshift and Databricks to support and advise business stakeholders through impactful ad hoc reporting and data analysis.

In this role, you will act as a trusted analytics advisor to business leaders, helping shape data-driven decisions by designing high-quality dashboards, delivering one-off analyses, and simplifying complex data stories. While you wont manage a team, you will influence strategic outcomes by translating business needs into analytical solutions and providing hands-on support for reporting and insights generation.

Key Responsibilities

Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with stakeholders across departments (including senior executives) to understand business challenges and translate them into analytical use cases.
  • Provide on-demand data analysis, ad hoc reporting, and insights that support business decisions.
  • Act as a Tableau SME, guiding stakeholders on how best to leverage dashboards and analytics tools for their needs.

BI Development & Reporting

  • Design and develop high-quality, performance-optimized Tableau dashboards and visualizations tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Build and maintain reusable reporting templates and analytical frameworks for rapid ad hoc analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of reports by validating data and following BI governance best practices.

Data Integration & Automation

  • Leverage SQL (Redshift/Databricks) to extract, transform, and analyze data efficiently for reporting purposes.
  • Automate repetitive reporting processes using SQL-based workflows where possible.
  • Support data pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting in collaboration with data engineering teams.

Governance & Best Practices

  • Implement Row-Level Security and data governance policies in dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards for data access, privacy, and visual design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related domains.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau (Desktop).
  • Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience in Amazon Redshift or other cloud data platforms.
  • Proven experience developing ad hoc reports and dashboards for business stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of data visualization best practices and performance tuning in Tableau.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences domain
