Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Management

  • Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify and reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledgers

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Generate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Create financial reports for management review and decision-making

Tax Compliance

  • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Identify tax savings opportunities and advise on tax planning strategies

Auditing and Analysis

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
  • Review financial statements for discrepancies and recommend corrections

Budget Management

  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
  • Monitor budget performance and report on variances
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic planning

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Manage vendor accounts and customer billing
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Skills

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with financial reporting and tax preparation
  • Familiarity with auditing procedures and internal controls
