Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Management
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify and reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledgers
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Generate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Create financial reports for management review and decision-making
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Identify tax savings opportunities and advise on tax planning strategies
Auditing and Analysis
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
- Review financial statements for discrepancies and recommend corrections
Budget Management
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
- Monitor budget performance and report on variances
- Provide financial insights to support strategic planning
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts
- Manage vendor accounts and customer billing
- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with financial reporting and tax preparation
- Familiarity with auditing procedures and internal controls
