Job Title: Project Manager Reports: CEO Based at: Gurgaon, Haryana About The Organization: This organisation, incorporated in India, aims to be a one stop solution to sustainable sourcing and provide solutions which not only measures well against sustainability goals, compliances and government regulations, but also considers future needs and the ever-evolving global ecosystems, while offering sustainable products, in addition to offering ways to achieve Net Zero targets for corporates and supply chains. It aims to revolutionize the textile, apparel and agricultural industry by providing innovative regenerative and sustainable farming solutions at scale. The mission is to bridge the gap between farm to end product, fostering a sustainable relationship between the environment and industry. About The Role: The organisation is looking to recruit a Project Manager to work with the CEO and relevant team, to help manage the execution of an important stakeholder project which involves coordination with a renowned international sustainability organisation in the commodity space, supply chain partners and apparel brands and retailers. The project would entail leading a team to draft a framework code of conduct for implementation of a sustainability program and manage its pilot and rollout across the coming years. The role involves a lot of senior stakeholder coordination and consultation, good communication and project management skills and ability to align interest of diverse partners, organisations and companies. Key Expectations: Developing strong relationships & working rapport with the project stakeholders. Work with some good project management tools and frameworks to keep the timelines and milestones in check Manage and organise workshops with a diverse array of stakeholders. Engage with various social media teams (the organisation and external stakeholders) to push the project agenda forward Timely and orderly reporting Ability to drive the M&E, operations, and reporting function for the successful implementation of the project Key Accountabilities: Drive & deliver the project management plan to pre- agreed deadlines and help to implement the strategic direction of this important project for the organisation and the various partners involved. Key Skills Required: A proactive and outgoing approach to work diligently on the principles of Project Management, specially in the development and / or sustainability sector Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to understand and align with the stakeholder expectations in the best possible manner. Build strong working relationship with stakeholder and partners & managing relationships through regular meetings & calls. Excellent internal and external communication skills written, verbal and non-verbal Good team player and must have managed a small-mid size team in the past. Plan and manage key timetables and deadlines Establish efficient, effective & innovative process & mechanisms to collate all project information and convert in monthly & quarterly reports for customers Develop a strong internal review mechanism to monitor & report internally on weekly basis to help drive continuous improvement Good to have an external focused background in the cotton / textile industry or agriculture sustainability industry working with the apparel brands, codes and standards in the sustainable textile sector or corporate CSR teams, govt. institutions and foundations. Good to have worked with Sustainable cotton programs / initiatives in the past Demonstrate responsibility and leadership in project management externally to key stakeholders including, thought leaders and industry platforms, as required. Key Relationships Internal: CEO Internal team members Key Relationships External: International sustainability organisation Brands Supply chain partners Local implementation partners External consultant and subject matter experts Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills: Experience Minimum 5-7 years professional experience with a proven track record of managing large scale projects, consultancy roles, and developing new opportunities and nurturing business relationships. Ideally with proven experience of handling complex stakeholder relationships and delivering results in the cotton textiles/clothing business. Ability to work to and drive key deadlines, across teams in multiple locations and time zones A self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously, as well as alongside multi-functional teams. Qualifications Educated to graduate degree level. Preferred MBA / post grad from a reputed institute / social sector or rural management institutions Skills Self-starter and entrepreneur Ability to influence and engage across a variety of audiences Collaborative and team player Tenacious and delivery oriented Integrity and passion for sustainability, an advantage. Knowledge of Cotton and textiles is an advantage.
