We are expecting the person to have
  • Five plus years of experience, includes hands-on experience in managing communications function.
  • The experience must include at least 3 years in thought leadership role in communications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with knowledge of English, Kannada, and Hindi.
  • Networking skills with peers in the Social Sector to understand the challenges and opportunities.
  • High Proficiency in communication tools and methods
  • Comfort in working with diverse stakeholders
  • A skilled facilitator, able to navigate tough conversations with senior stakeholders
  • The agility to understand communication needs by visiting various program locations in Bengaluru.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy –to strengthen stakeholder
  • Engagement and connect to our mission.
  • Manage a team of on ground developers like content writers, graphic designers, website managers and so on to execute Gubbachi’s Communications vision and strategy
  • Create a comprehensive brand manual that guides all messaging consistently
  • Develop a brand tool kit that consists of variety of creatives like presentations, pamphlets, write ups and so on
  • Create high quality content via various media like newsletters, print stories, blog posts, social media posts, and other channels.
  • Manage and maintain Gubbachi’s social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments, and analyzing engagement metrics.
  • Manage monthly publication of the newsletter
  • Keep an ear to the ground - work closely with all programs teams to report emerging stories
  • Collaborate with external specialists like graphic designers and web designers to create specific deliverables
  • Plan and implement specific fundraising campaigns
  • Create program report templates, special reports and presentations
  • Manage the communications budget
  • Track and analyse communications metrics, including media coverage, social media engagement and website analytics, to evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts.
