IT Solution Designer

**Role Purpose**:
The Lead of CSD function is accountable for provision of Vodafone’s enterprise and carrier customers fixed line delivery request right from designing High level solutions during Presales and Low level design post sales and clean handover of designs to the delivery organisation. Also ensures innovative solutions are delivered timely, on budget and the right quality in line with our enterprise customers’ requirements. The Lead manages and ensures delivery from an evolving set of enterprise products and services like SDWAN, IPVPN and Bandwidth connects.

On a day to day basis, The Lead focusses upon the management of a team of solution design and delivery professionals who conduct technical analysis enabling the translation of the technical vision into a holistic solution design of future capabilities and features.

The lead also acts as a solution design consultant / architect for complex demands and prepare detailed technical design and develop complex customer solutions for high-profile accounts - this includes solutions from an evolving set of data products and services, but with particular emphasis on fixed connectivity incl. (global) IP VPN and unified communications ,SDWAN. Work closely with on shore solution consultants, external partners as well as local Technical Solution Architects and local Network Engineers from various markets during the Pre-Sales and Build phase to ensure that innovative solutions are developed that meet customer requirements and can be implemented with minimum business disruption.

- Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and underlying business drivers, creating High-Level Solution ,Participate in presale solution discussion, support migrations, Creation of HLD / LLD design to time, cost and quality
- Develop detailed technical design that will deliver optimum solution for complex customer requirements and produce appropriate design documents
- Ensures Delivery of Customer solutions on time with agreed quality and compliant to SLA and OLA.
- Proactive communication towards stakeholders
- Ensures degree of standardisation achieved in committed deliverables and adherence to standards, processes and templates

**Requirements**:

- Experience in dealing with large, corporate customers in fixed line delivery management or technical solution or consultancy role.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and teamwork with ability to work in multinational teams.
- Ability to interface with global customers and represent Vodafone products and capabilities to decision makers
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering connectivity / LAN & WAN / Global IP VPN solutions, preferably gained in a large enterprise, multi-country and multi-product environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - confidence and professionalism both in working with multinational project teams and with clients on various levels of the organisation, from technical audiences to senior management

Must Have:

- Leading multiple delivery teams in parallel and balancing project demand with delivery capacity
- Autonomous problem analysis and decision making to achieve a creative approach to issue resolution
- CCNA & CCNP certification or equivalent certification with technical knowledge of : LAN Technology (Ethernet, WiFi), WAN Access Technology (xDSL, Ethernet, SDH), IP Networking, SDWAN, Riverbed optimization, MPLS, Managed Services, Cloud / Hosting
- Min 5 years Networking experience and At least 2 years experience in dealing with large, corporate customers in a technical solution design or consultancy role

Nice to Have:

- CCDA / CCDP certification certification of benefit, but not essential
- Basic or advanced knowledge in the following areas would be added advantage: Unified Communications / Mobile Data and Connectivity
