We have an urgent opening, The details are as follows:
Position : Purchase Officer.

Experience : 2 to 10 Yrs purchasing of Biomass / Bio fuels in Manufacturing Company.

Work Location : Bharuch, Near Vadodara, Gujarat.

**Job Purpose**: As a leading multinational company in the manufacturing of glass, plasterboards, abrasives & stone fixing solutions, we are committed to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. To achieve this, we are transitioning our furnace boiler fuel source to biomass briquettes, and we need a dedicated professional to oversee the purchase of biomass briquettes. We are looking to procure sustainable and quality supply of solid and loose biofuels (briquettes, Pellets, and loose biomass), which are generally made from agriculture waste such as Groundnuts shell, Corn Cob, Rice husk, soyabean husk, cotton stalk etc. This position of Purchase Executive is newly created and it will be instrumental in securing and establishing supply of briquettes/pellets & loose biomass for the company across all locations in India

1) Identify and evaluate potential domestic as well as foreign biomass briquette suppliers based on type, quantity, quality, price, reliability, and sustainability factors as approved & suggested by plant

2) Develop, implement & handle procurement strategies and policies for biomass briquettes, considering market trends, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability targets.

3) Analyse and forecast demand, ensuring an adequate and consistent supply of biomass briquettes to meet plant requirements (even during monsoon and off season)

4) Optimize procurement processes to minimize costs, streamline operations & maximize efficiency.

5) Negotiate favourable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to secure cost-effective and reliable biomass briquette supply through long term contracts

6) Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with existing as well as new suppliers, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.

7) Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure efficient inventory planning and management.
