Description

**Job Title: Safety Officer** **Location: Coimbatore** **Position Type: Full-Time**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Risk Assessment**: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- **Safety Inspections**: Perform routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- **Training and Education**: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees to increase awareness and promote a culture of safety.
- **Incident Investigation**: Investigate accidents, near misses, and other incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- **Emergency Preparedness**: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to address potential crises such as fires, chemical spills, or natural disasters.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Stay up-to-date on relevant safety regulations and ensure organizational compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- **Safety Policies**: Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- **Safety Culture**: Promote a positive safety culture within the organization by encouraging employee participation and engagement in safety initiatives.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities to demonstrate compliance with regulations and standards.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for improvement in safety processes and procedures and implement corrective actions as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a safety-related role is preferred.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards, hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety management systems.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate safety procedures and policies to employees at all levels of the organization.
- **Attention to Detail**: Keen attention to detail to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to analyze complex safety issues, identify solutions, and implement effective corrective actions.
- **Teamwork**: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to promote a culture of safety and achieve organizational goals.

**Certifications**:

- Certification from a recognized safety organization (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is a plus.
