Lab line Technician

**Basic Function**:
Follow the work arrangement of the supervisor and complete the sample production, testing, packaging, warehousing, injection molding etc., accordingly to the recipe provided by PAD within the specified timeframe.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Follow the company HSES regulations, wear appropriate PPEs during operations, achieve GoalZero target in terms of safety accident. Maintain housekeeping and 5S at workplace.
- Responsible for raw materials arrangement from RM store, preparation of batch such as, weighing and mixing according to the sample recipe.
- Complete customer sample production, testing sample production, corresponding online quality testing, and have the ability to use injection molding machine to make splines to achieve the goal of timeliness and pass rate. Meanwhile, record and give feedback to the test process and results effectively.
- Have a certain understanding of plastic extrusion color technology and can finish online color correcting initially.
- Get materials and hand over to right storage location according to warehouse requirements.
- Responsible for the management of lab line shelves, avoid material account differences, keep shelves clean and orderly. Take care of spare parts of lab extruder & molding machine and other process related manuals & SOP display.
- Cooperate with maintenance team to do prevention measures for lab line equipment.
- Assist with sampling, sample accumulation, post-drying & blending and other tasks according to user requests.
- Able to adjust working hours according to operation requirements to complete production tasks, including morning/afternoon shifts and possible night shifts.

**Min. Qualifications**:
ITI - PPO (Plastic Processing Operator)

Diploma / Postgraduate in Plastic Technology or Plastic Processing and Testing will be added advantage.

**Core Skills & Experiences**:

- Technical skills: Basic safety awareness and experience in chemical industry and materials, knowledge and experience in operating the whole process of lab line (twin-screw extruder) and injection molding machine
- Deliver results: Ability to meet challenging goals in an efficient and effective manner, timely production of samples of both quantity and quality, willingness to learn new things and new methods to achieve higher goals.
- Communication skills: Have basic communication skills with lab line team and internal team, such as PAD, maintenance team, sales team, etc. Communicate well with the lab line team on safety requirements/sharing, operations, tasks, etc.
- Building partnerships: Willing to work together to implement solutions in challenging environment; seek common interests; find solutions driven by corporate interests
- 4-6 years’ experience in chemical or plastic material industry is required. Experience in plastic extrusion and injection molding is preferred.
- Basic Knowledge of Polymeric materials & Engineering plastic processing experience preferred.
