Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and Design Belts:
Develop innovative and stylish belt designs for different markets, including casual, formal, fashion, and industrial belts.
Create design concepts that align with current market trends and customer preferences.
Create Detailed Design Sketches:
Use software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva to create precise sketches and mockups of belt designs.
Pantone Color Matching System:
Technical Drawings:
Develop technical designs and specifications for manufacturing, including materials, stitching, buckles, and other belt components.
Trend Research:
Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with fashion trends, materials, and competitor designs, and use these insights to drive both design and merchandising strategies.
Identify potential product gaps and customer needs to introduce new belt designs that cater to emerging trends and market demands.
Merchandising Strategy:
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align product designs with market strategies and target customer demographics.
Develop merchandising plans to support product launches, ensuring designs are market-ready and positioned effectively for different consumer segments.
Collaborate with Production Teams:
Work closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are feasible for production and maintain quality standards.
Oversee the product sampling process to ensure prototypes and samples align with design specifications.
Presentation of Designs:
Prepare mood boards, mockups, and presentations for stakeholders to review belt design concepts.
Present design proposals to internal teams and customers, adjusting designs based on feedback.
Product Sampling & Development:
Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, ensuring the final products meet design expectations, quality standards, and cost parameters.
Market Monitoring & Feedback:
Continuously monitor market performance of belt designs and adjust merchandising and design strategies based on sales data, customer feedback, and emerging trends.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Merchandising, or related fields preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accessory or apparel design, with a strong focus on belts or similar products. Experience in merchandising or a combination of design and merchandising is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools (Canva).
Knowledge of Pantone Color Matching System and color theory.
Familiarity with 3D design tools or CAD software (preferred but not required).
Creativity & Industry Knowledge:
Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail, color, and form.
Understanding of materials used in belt manufacturing (leather, fabric, metal buckles) and current industry trends.
Communication & Collaboration:
Ability to communicate design concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including production, marketing, and sales teams.

Innovative Thinker: Ability to think creatively and come up with new, unique designs that stand out in the market.

Primarily office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing or production sites.
Flexible working hours, with the possibility of additional hours during product launch phases.
Pay: ₹8,731.04 - ₹40,029.76 per month
