**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instructional Planning and Delivery**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the educational needs of students.
- Teach advanced English topics, including literature, language skills, writing, and critical analysis.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and facilitate learning.
- **Student Assessment and Support**:

- Design and administer assessments, including quizzes, tests, and projects, to evaluate student understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic development and improvement.
- Offer additional support and guidance to students through one-on-one or small group sessions as needed.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the English curriculum, incorporating new content, methodologies, and technologies.
- Ensure that lesson plans and instructional materials are up-to-date and aligned with educational standards and examination requirements.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain order and discipline.
- Foster a love for literature and language through engaging and interactive teaching approaches.
- **Professional Development**:

- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with the latest trends, best practices, and advancements in English education.
- Participate in relevant workshops, training sessions, and educational conferences.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with colleagues, including other teachers and staff, to support students’ overall educational experience.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/guardians regarding academic progress, achievements, and any concerns.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and committees as required.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to student progress and departmental activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in English, English Literature, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.

**Experience**:

- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary or senior secondary level.
- Experience in preparing students for board examinations or competitive exams is highly desirable.
