**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, dietary restrictions, and portion control guidelines.
- Ensure meals meet the nutritional needs of patients as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manage food stock levels and assist in inventory control and purchasing.
- Handle and store food items properly to prevent spoilage or contamination.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist in serving food during peak hours as needed.
- Cooperate with kitchen staff, dietitians, and healthcare personnel to ensure smooth operation and meal delivery.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Basic understanding of nutrition and special dietary requirements.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Certification in food handling and sanitation (preferred).
- Ability to follow recipes and scale them based on need.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
