**Job Title: Hospital Credit Billing Specialist**

**Location**: KPHP

**Department**: Billing and Finance

**Reports To**: Billing Manager

**Position Summary**: The Hospital Credit Billing Specialist is responsible for managing patient accounts, ensuring accurate and timely billing, and handling the credit and collections process. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Billing and Invoicing**:

- Prepare and send out accurate bills and invoices to patients and insurance companies.
- Review and verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Ensure compliance with all billing regulations and hospital policies.
- **Credit Management**:

- Evaluate patient creditworthiness and establish payment plans.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Work with patients to resolve billing discrepancies and answer billing-related inquiries.
- **Collections**:

- Initiate and manage collection efforts for overdue accounts.
- Collaborate with collection agencies as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of all collection activities.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Prepare regular reports on billing, credit, and collections activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all billing transactions and patient accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits.
- **Customer Service**:

- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Address and resolve patient billing complaints and concerns promptly.
- Educate patients on billing processes and payment options.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 4years experience in medical billing, credit management, or collections.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures and insurance regulations.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for computer work.
- Clear and concise verbal communication.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office environment within a hospital setting.
- Occasional extended hours may be required during peak periods.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
